Kim Possible...Galley Slave 1

The story continues with “galley slave 2.”

These two drawings had actually been completed back in April, when I was still using computer paper. My original plan was to just do this short Kim Possible arc, and then get back to requests, so it would have gone from KP doing the “daily chores,” or hanging the laundry, straight to the galley slave pics. But story is very important to me, (in case you could not figure that out), and the visual parts of this story would have been quite jarring if I had gone ahead with that plan. So I decided I needed a pic of the slave-napping, and then one of the rescue. Then I had the idea of the “joke” with Kim and Shego tangled in chains, and I needed more than one to set up that joke. And at the same time I had the image of Ron walking Kim with a leash in my head, so I combined them all to make a series out of it.

Now, after completing the “joke” cycle, I discovered I had a small problem. Starting with Ron walking Kim on a leash, I used Bristol board instead of paper, Prismacolor pencils, and blenders/burnishers. This makes a WORLD of difference, let me tell you. And I could see that difference on those older pics of Kim the Galley Slave. I could not bring myself to post those, so I redid them, and…

One last thought. I know in reality she would have been dirty, sweaty and nasty at this point, but I did not want to draw her dirty, sweaty and nasty, so I did not.
